Hello Mike, I’m wondering why the Celtic’s don’t give Gabe Pruitt a chance to play. I believe Gabe and Rajon would make a great 1-2 punch! I know the Celtic’s have other guy’s ahead of him, but given the chance, I truly believe Gabe can be an asset to this team.
    Thanks,
    Joe

Mike: Tommy agrees with you…but with the addition of Sam Cassell this week Gabe is going to have to wait till next year to get a chance at some minutes.

Hello Mike. What are your thoughts on Kendrick Perkins? I have rooted for the Celtics since 1981 and few players have caught my attention the way Perk does. I truly believe this kid will surprise many people over the next several years. Thanks Mike.

Mike: I think you are right and the last two games would sure prove your point. Like you, I believe Perk is going to have a long and productive career in Boston.

Hi Mike, I thought that Leon Powe could be someone special from the first time I ever saw him two pre-seasons ago. Why has it taken until recently for Powe to get more minutes. Talk about intensity!

Mike: Leon is that rare combination of nice, quiet kid off the court and tough as nails on it. Hopefully he will continue to get the call from Doc. Certainly over the past month he has proved he can play productively at this level.

Hello Mike, I was wondering in your broadcasting career what has been your favorite season you have announced? Also what Celtic on our current team do you like to watch the most?

Mike: I think I just might be in the middle of my favorite season. I love the intensity with which this team comes to play with each night. Also I really enjoy calling defense more than offense, and this is the best defensive team I have ever been around. I love watching both Powe and Rondo play. Leon because he is such an overachiever and Rondo because of the flair he has for the game. That will only get better as time goes on. But if I had to pick one player it would be KG. Cowens and Bird have only matched his intensity on a nightly basis in the time I have been following the Celtics.
