These big three have logged a lot of minutes in their year. Do you think that they welcome the fewer minutes? I would think that it kills someone like KG to sit on the bench.
I’ve found that good players want to play all the time. KG, PP and RA are all in that camp. Not worried about the minutes.

Comment: What’s up Mike, I always wanted to know why does Rondo wear his hand band up side down? Is it a luck thing? Thanks you and Tommy are the best!
We’ll have Greg check that out. Players do quirky things.

Comment: Hi mike, when do you think Glen Big Baby Davis should move into the starting rotation? Because every time he comes out onto the court he’s looking to make a statement and he certainly has done that.
Glen has played well and hopefully he will just get better and more consistent. Starting lineup is just fine though.

Comment: Hello Mike- It has been a pleasure listening to you and Tommy call the games since about 1990 when I was 8! I can tell by listening to you guys this year that you are very excited and optimistic. Did you guys get this kind of feeling at the start of the ‘86 season when Bird, McHale, and Parish were in their prime?
Can’t speak for Tommy but yes the excitement for me is very similar. Remember clearly thinking you had a legitimate chance to win every night. Now of course you don’t but that doesn’t stop you from thinking it again the next night. This team can be that good.

Comment: A lot is said about KG’s intensity and leadership, and last night I heard you speak on Paul Pierces leadership and intensity. Ray Allen was known as a great leader in Seattle that kept the locker room very tight and together. What do you think of Ray Allen’s personality and leadership? As more of a calming influence, a Joe Montana or Tim Duncan type of leader….. How much can you say of his calming influence in pressure situations, the way he helps along the younger members of the team with their game and confidence, the way he works the officials for his teammates and his professional leadership by example? How much do you think this calm and cool style of leadership displayed by the focused sniper in contrast/when combined to Paul’s style and also Kevin’s style helps keep the team well-rounded, even-keeled, and calm and focused?
You have described Ray’s leadership abilities very well, he means a great deal to this team. Credit Danny Ainge for understanding what each brings to the table and the potential greatness of the mix.
