    Name: Dennis
    City: Nashua

Comment: Mike, 1986 vs. 2008 Celtics…who would win in a best of seven series if they played each other? I know it is tough to answer hypothetical questions like this, but if anyone would have a good reasoning, it would be the man that broadcasted both teams.

I know this sounds like a cop out but I think it would be anybody’s guess in seven games….the match ups would be fascinating with nobody having a defensive edge….who covers Bird…. KG…Pierce…Allen…McHale….it’s a pick’em if I ever saw one.

    Name: Barry
    City: Medford

Comment: Which player will have the biggest impact down the stretch for the Celtics?

KG…he is the heart and soul of this team.

    Name: David B
    City: Falmouth

Comment: Hey Mike, I always wonder how you get all of your stats? You have some crazy ones on spot all of the time. Do you have some sort of a display?

I have a guy named Dick Lipe who sits next to me who is the best stats guy in the business. He is responsible for all the stuff you hear.

    Name: Gerry
    City: Peabody

Comment: Hey Mike, I am so happy about this team, but I wonder about next year with so many guys on one year deals. Do you think Ainge will do what it takes to retain that bench? Also, do you think Gabe Pruitt will get more of a look next year?

Danny will do what’s right for this team. He has earned our trust in that area given the turnaround he has orchestrated. And yes I think Gabe will get his chance.

    Name: Jack Magill
    City: Provincetown

Comment: I know players will view films of previously played games to improve upon there game. Is there a rule and if there isn’t, why isn’t there, that referees must review games they have called to see where they are making mistakes? I believe basketball is the most poorly called sport of the major for sports and something should be done

Refs constantly are reviewing film. The game is just played at such a high athletic level it is a no win situation for officials. Unlike my partner, I think they do a very good job all considered.

    Name: Bob Murray
    City: West Bridgewater

Comment: Mike, Can you explain to me what an illegal defense is?

In a nutshell it’s a defensive player staying in the lane for three seconds without covering anybody.

    Name: Dustin
    City: Hudson, NH

Comment: Hey Mike! Since he arrived in Boston in 1998, what is your favorite Paul Pierce moment? Keep up the great work; you’re truly one of the best in the business.

He’s had some great moments in New Jersey and against Philly in the playoffs a few years back, but I am hoping the best is still to come in the coming weeks. Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Mike, I missed the start of the game that Scott Pollard assisted you with. It was very entertaining. How did that come to be?
