Comment: Mike, 1986 vs. 2008 Celtics…who would win in a best of seven series if they played each other? I know it is tough to answer hypothetical questions like this, but if anyone would have a good reasoning, it would be the man that broadcasted both teams.
I know this sounds like a cop out but I think it would be anybody’s guess in seven games….the match ups would be fascinating with nobody having a defensive edge….who covers Bird…. KG…Pierce…Allen…McHale….it’s a pick’em if I ever saw one.
Name: Barry
City: Medford
Comment: Which player will have the biggest impact down the stretch for the Celtics?
KG…he is the heart and soul of this team.
Name: David B
City: Falmouth
Comment: Hey Mike, I always wonder how you get all of your stats? You have some crazy ones on spot all of the time. Do you have some sort of a display?
I have a guy named Dick Lipe who sits next to me who is the best stats guy in the business. He is responsible for all the stuff you hear.
Name: Gerry
City: Peabody
Danny will do what’s right for this team. He has earned our trust in that area given the turnaround he has orchestrated. And yes I think Gabe will get his chance.
Name: Jack Magill
City: Provincetown
Refs constantly are reviewing film. The game is just played at such a high athletic level it is a no win situation for officials. Unlike my partner, I think they do a very good job all considered.
Name: Bob Murray
City: West Bridgewater
In a nutshell it’s a defensive player staying in the lane for three seconds without covering anybody.
City: Hudson, NH
Comment: Hey Mike! Since he arrived in Boston in 1998, what is your favorite Paul Pierce moment? Keep up the great work; you’re truly one of the best in the business.
He’s had some great moments in New Jersey and against Philly in the playoffs a few years back, but I am hoping the best is still to come in the coming weeks. Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Mike, I missed the start of the game that Scott Pollard assisted you with. It was very entertaining. How did that come to be?
